Starting young horses is a speciality for Rod. Techniques are applied to gain collection and body control giving the horses a solid foundation. With his training program Rod is producing horses that are quiet, confident and dependable.

Rod finishes the horses for competition in reining, working cow horse and ranch versatility. The Ranch Versatility Horse competition demonstrates a stock horse's athletic ability in five categories: Working Ranch Horse, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Cutting, and Ranch Conformation.
