R-B Training Stables is located in the heart of the Central Valley. We are a family run training/breeding facility owned and operated by Rod and Michelle Burr.

Rod is a native of Livermore, California; growing up in the rodeo and ranching business. To help pay his way through college, Rod rode for other trainers. He soon realized training horses was more than a job, it was something he enjoyed. He continued to work for various trainers soaking up as much as he could until he was ready to start his own facility.

In 1993, Rod started his own facility specializing in starting colts, training cowhorses and reiners, with emphases on versatility horses.

Michelle grew up with horses and enjoys showing. Currently, she works as a veterinarian technician at a busy equine specialty clinic. Her experience at the clinic comes in handy at home when a horse needs treatment.

Our teenager, Ashton, enjoys fast competitive events, and still enjoys cleaning stalls. Our youngest daughter is a toddler and already knows her favorite time of the day is when she is in the saddle with Daddy.
